Discord is a free instant messaging platform that can be run in a browser, as a desktop app, and on iOS and Android.
If you want to keep in contact with Arts Emergency and build your network you should join the Discord! You’ll be able to:
connect with other young people who have completed mentoring
discover work and networking opportunities
promote your work and projects

Joining the group
This is a private, invitation-only server. If you would like to join, please follow these steps:
Click on the invite link in the Young Community Newsletter which will open Discord in a web browser. If this link has expired, please email the Community team to get a new link.
Create an account with a valid email address.
Verify your email address.
Change your nickname. We ask that you change your nickname on the server to be your full real name so staff can identify users. Nicknames only apply to the server you are on when you set it, so you don’t have to worry about revealing your real name in any other Discord servers. You can read more about that here.

Discord Community Guidelines
Here are some rules for interacting with others on Discord:
Do not organise, participate in, or encourage harassment of others. Disagreements happen and are normal, but continuous, repetitive, or severe negative comments may cross the line into harassment and are not okay.
Do not organise, promote, or coordinate servers around hate speech. It’s unacceptable to attack a person or a community based on attributes such as their race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, or disabilities.
Do not make threats of violence or threaten to harm others. This includes indirect threats, as well as sharing or threatening to share someone’s private personal information (also known as doxxing).
Do not evade user blocks or server bans. Do not send unwanted, repeated friend requests or messages, especially after they’ve made it clear they don’t want to talk to you anymore. Do not try to hide your identity in an attempt to contact someone who has blocked you, or otherwise circumvent the tools we have which enable users to protect themselves.
Do not send others viruses or malware, attempt to phish others, or hack or DDoS them.
The Young Community Discord is moderated by the Community Team so if you experience or witness any harassment, please contact the admins. We'll respond as promptly as we can. Please note that we work on Mondays - Thursdays.
