Trust & Foundations: providing grant support
We're working hard to give young people fairer chances in the creative industries from age 16 until they turn 26. Charitable Trusts and Foundations help make this possible at scale and at the local level, allowing us to plan for the long term.
We're grateful to the many charitable Charitable Trusts and Foundations that support our work, to offer better opportunities for young people in the UK. Project-based funding can support our Mentoring Programme, our broader Young Community, or young leadership via our Youth Collective; whilst unrestricted funding supports our ambitions as an organisation.
Working with our community, we prioritise projects which reach young people from underrepresented backgrounds. From investing in local mentoring projects to supporting all our young people across different parts of the UK, our work helps young people to build the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to achieve their creative ambitions as they move beyond compulsory education.
Corporates: our social impact
We’re a grassroots organisation with no major core funder, so we rely heavily on industry allies to help us raise funds. Ways to support us include:
- Corporate donations: we are a registered charity, so you may be entitled to claim tax relief
- A % of proceeds or royalties donated to AE, providing an ongoing income stream
- Nominating us as a charity for add-on point of sale donations
- Making AE the beneficiary of a charity event
- Providing payroll matches to employees who donate to us
Partnering with AE offers your company real advantages. You'll bolster your brand's reputation by showing a clear commitment to social mobility, and a more diverse and inclusive arts sector: appealing to a growing consumer base that values ethical and inclusive practices. What's more, your involvement provides valuable connections to a motivated, often overlooked pool of young talent, contributing to a richer and more dynamic workforce.
Your support will directly fund real, practical 1:1 support that equips underrepresented young people with the confidence and tools they need to live out their ambitions. In return, you’ll be aligned with our powerful movement: you’ll be part of a community of supporters bringing together some of the biggest and brightest names in the UK creative and cultural industries, credited online and featured in our social media / newsletters (optional).
We’re proud to collaborate with Arts Emergency to support young people from under-represented backgrounds discover education and employment opportunities in the creative sectors. Their remarkable efforts in broadening access and involvement are evident through their mentoring scheme, informative workshops, and extensive professional network.
