- Arts Emergency offers a year of free mentoring to young people who are preparing to take their first steps out of compulsory education (e.g. college or sixth form) and are interested in exploring a career in the creative and cultural industries.
- Our mentors work in the creative and cultural industries and volunteer their time to provide young people with 1:1 support. We will match you with a mentor who shares your interests.
- Mentors provide information, advice and guidance, and share their skills, experience and knowledge to help inform your next steps after school/college.
- You’ll become part of our Young Community, have access to bespoke events and opportunities, and can receive support from us until your 26th birthday.
- We support young people most in need of an Arts Emergency mentor. You must meet at least one of our eligibility criteria. (A full list of our eligibility criteria can be found on our FAQ page, link below.)

Step 1. Apply to get a mentor
Complete the application form at the bottom of this page by Friday 2nd October.
Tell us about yourself, your interests, and why you would benefit from an Arts Emergency mentor.
We use this information to help match you with a mentor.

Step 2. Attend a mentee interview
After the application deadline, all applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application.
If you have been successful you will be invited to an interview. Our mentee interviews are an opportunity for us to get to know you better.
Mentee interviews will take place at school or college or online.
Step 3. Matching mentoring pairs
If successful, we will then match you with a mentor, and our mentoring team will be in touch to share details with you.
You will then be asked to confirm your participation in our mentoring programme.
You will then be invited to an introduction event, in-person or online, where you will meet your mentor for the first time, along with other mentoring pairs in your region.
