Arts Emergency hits Big Give appeal target in just six days!

Each donation had double the impact in this match funding campaign.

In March 2024, we were selected for the seven-day Big Give Arts for Impact match funding appeal, along with over 200 other charities. Remarkably we surpassed our target of £10.5k in individual donations to unlock the match funding from the Big Give and generous contributions from comedians Joe Lycett, Rhod Gilbert, Sian Harries, writer David Nicholls, and the Laura Kinsella Foundation, in just six days and reached a total of of £21,525! This really is a testament to our amazing supporters.

This fund is earmarked for our Mentoring Programme, which empowers 235+ bright, curious, and creative under-resourced young people across London, Brighton, Greater Manchester, and Merseyside. The mentoring initiative plays a crucial role in providing valuable insights into various creative career paths, increasing exposure to cultural organisations, fostering self-confidence, and facilitating networking opportunities within the creative industries, paving the way for their future success.

We want to say a heartfelt thank you to the match funders, the 160 people who donated and anyone who shared the appeal with the contacts or on social media. This incredible support demonstrates a collective commitment to nurturing the next generation of creative talent and creating a fairer future for all.
