Work experience

Work experience is an essential way for young people to get valuable insight into a job and make their first industry contacts.

We’ve worked with lots of different freelancers and organisations on work experience placements over the years including Time Out, BBC Studios and Curtis Brown.

This summer, work experience will be running online and on-site for five working days. To sign up as a work experience provider, please download our guidance pack and fill in the form below. You have until Monday 17 May!

If you are not a member of our Network yet, please sign up to the Network before you fill out the form.

Work experience will only run on-site if government guidelines say it’s safe to do so.

For on-site work experience we’ll ask you to:

  • sign and adhere to our code of conduct

  • provide a five day placement between 26 July and 3 September

  • provide expenses if the placement is for five working days. We ask that anything longer is paid at national or London living wage

  • fill out a short risk assessment

  • send us your Employer’s Liability Insurance certificate (you will need to find this before you fill in the form)

  • have an informal interview with the young person

For online work experience we’ll ask you to:
