We’ll be accepting offers for our 2023 summer work placement programme in early 2023. If you complete the interest form below we'll email you to let you know when applications are open.
If you are a current mentor and would like to provide a work experience place to your mentee, please head over to the mentor report form and complete a Work Experience Placement Proposal. If you have any further questions, check our Mentoring Work Experience FAQs.
How do placements work with Arts Emergency?
We generally recruit for work experience placement providers at the start of the year. We’re especially looking for folks in London, Brighton, Manchester, Merseyside, and the Midlands.
Work experience tends to run for at least 5 and up to 10 working days. If you want to support a young person for longer than five days, they must be paid at the Living Wage for your area. This includes placements for under 18s.
Placements can be online, on-site, or hybrid (a mixture of the two). We have conditions in place depending on whether you are an organisation or a freelancer.
Unless the placement is paid, we expect organisations to provide up to £15 in expenses for each day. This amount covers lunch and travel for a young person.
How do I offer a work placement?
If you would like to host a placement this summer, please fill out the form below. If you have further questions, please ensure that you’ve checked out our FAQ page and download our Work Experience Guidance Pack.
If you’d like to provide something that fits outside of our work experience model/is longer than 10 days, please get in touch with community@arts-emergency.org
